Synopsis : In a conflict ridden Kashmir, a Muslim half-widow, viz a woman whose husband who has disappeared, finds herself, her 11 year old daughter and ill mother-in-law in a crisis when she attempts to get her missing husband’s death certificate from the government. Now she will have to find the strength to come out from an unthinkable and absurd situation. This leads family’s quite life into a mammoth turmoil.
Director Bio : Born in Central India, Praveen Morchhale, (National Film Award winner director 2018) who, for a few years, worked in theatre and films as a director, achieved his breakthrough with his debut feature film, ‘Barefoot to Goa’ (2013). He is know for his subtle cinematic style. The film travelled to the 2013 Mumbai Film Festival (International Competition), and in 2014, to Bogota International Film Festival, Colombia, London Indian Film Festival, and Melbourne Indian Film Festival. His sophomore film, ‘Walking With the Wind’ (2017), screened in competition at Camerimage, Sao Paulo IFF, Friborg IFF, and Mumbai Film Fest. Walking With The Wind won 3 National Film Awards for the year 2017.
