Synopsis : The West Bengal Khadi & VI Board has initiated multiple projects under the relentless inspiration and efforts of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee. The Khadi board tasks itself to grant financial assistance to the rural artisans, individuals, cooperative societies, registered organisations and Panchayati Raj institutions to empower them to take up various schemes approved programmes of Khadi & Village Industries Commission. Saving the art and the artisan is the tried and tested way for which the West Bengal Government has inducted the West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board. Under the project titled Developing Rural Craft Hubs of West Bengal, there are initiatives like constructing common facility centres, providing running capital for the producers and artisans along with their capacity building through regular trainings and workshops. UNESCO, an arm of the United Nations, has been proactive in bringing together the artisans related with the Rural Craft hubs through non-governmental organisations.

Director Bio : Susanta Biswas makes documentaries on sustainable development issues since 2000, many of which participated in international film festivals held in different places of the country. His documentaries were screened in the Short & Documentary Section of Kolkata International Film Festival in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016
