Synopsis : Bhaurao Datar a legendary actor, makeup artist of his era. The story of Bhaurao begins in Nashik at a theatre where he used to sell tea to the theatre staff. He was born in a modest family and was named Krishna. While working in the theatre he developed interest in the acting and thought of taking acting as career. This documentary will take viewers through Bhaurao’s journey from this theatre to Dadasaheb Phalke’s film Factory where he worked in 60 films. Bhaurao also worked for other great filmmakers of that time such as Master Vinayak, Nanasaheb Sarpotdar and Bhalji Pendharkar. The role of Shivaji which Bhaurao played in the Bhalji Pendharkar’s movie Netaji Palakr is the best Shivaji portrayed on the screen according the Bhalji himself. Background of wrestling and acting skills gave him physical and moral strength the portray lead roles. When times started changing in the film industry instead of looking back he started working as Makeup artist. Sometimes he used to call himself a Makeup Director. Did you know that the famous ‘Sadhana Cut’ was first conceived by Bhaurao for veteran actress Sadhana? It is fascinating to hear what other great artists have to say about Bhaurao, his dedication towards the work. Many knew him and his calibre, many ignored his talent but later were awestruck by his dedication and result oriented approach. The documentary explores various facets of this great personality called Bhaurao Datar, a true unsung Hero of his time!

Om Prakash's film “Akraman” - Produced A Documentary “ V.BABASAHEB – LIFE IN FULL OPEN”, Selected for Indian Panorama 2013 & Received 3rd Prize for BEST DOCUMENTARY in Maharashtra State awards 2013. - Official industrial/ Food/ Commercial photographer for many national and multinational companies around the world. - Visiting faculty & Guest lecturer for still photography & motion picture in many institutions across INDIA.
