Synopsis : "Tomari Matir Konnya"( Thy Daughters O' Mother Earth) is a documentation of the life and work of internationally acclaimed dancer-choreographer Dr.Manjushri Chaki Sircar and her celebrated daughter Ranjabati Sircar. Unfortunately, neither Manjushri nor Ranjaboti lived to see this film as the mother and the daughter, both left this world during the time of shooting of the film in the year 1999. This version of the film is made salvaging the original footage after 18 long years.
Director Bio : National and International award winner film maker Sekhar Das "Tomari Matir Konnya"( Thy Daughters O'Mother Earth) was practically his directorial debut. Till now he made eleven feature films, of which seven are for Theatre release and four for TV release. Apart from film making Das teaches Cinema in different film school
