Synopsis : Ekti Ajaana Galpo (An Unknown Story) is a daughter’s effort to make her father’s one unfulfilled dream (which he had to sacrifice due to family responsibility) into reality. What it is? It’s acting on screen. So, Ekti Ajaana Galpo is equal to ‘A Dream’, ‘Pieces of Childhood Memories’, ‘A Lot of Helpful Friends’ and ‘A Group of Amateur Actors’. The Film is based in a border-side village of Bengal (Eastern India), which is extensively affected by the partition of India in 1947. Ekti Ajaana Galpo tries to convey that how a partition in a land effects the human life. The story revolves around an aged man known as Master Moshai (Teacher) to all who is a witness of post-partition effects in border-side areas. The Film shows that the impact of partition didn’t end up at that time only. People from both sides of the border are still suffering due to this man-made division. We, the people divide the globe into parts. This division creates many nations. Sometimes, we forget that this man-made divisions shouldn’t cross the line and go beyond humanity.
Director Bio : Nasrina Khan is an Indie Filmmaker. Ekti Ajaana Galpo is her second Short. Her debut Short "Sunoyona: The Beautiful Eyes" is an award-winning film which deals with the struggle of a blind girl. Nasrina Khan, a Science Graduate and Double-PG (Film Studies, CU & PGJMC, IGNOU) shifted her base to Mumbai from Kolkata to pursue her dream to become a Film Director. Initially, she joined TV as AD. Then, she started assisting in films. She assisted Directors Anshuman Kishore Singh, Ishraq Shah and Faisal Saif. She is mentored by acclaimed director Shivam Nair.
