Synopsis : This movie is completely taken in the colloquial language of Lakshadweep Islands, called JASARI. The movie “SINJAR” is depicting the story of an ordinary fisherman living in the capital city of Lakshadweep Island, Kavaratti. The story revolves around the protagonist Ansar, his sister SUHARA, and ANSAR’S fiancée FIDA. This movie stands against international terrorism and how a terror act will effect ordinary man’s life and how two ladies who undergone captivity by the ISIS terrorist in SINJAR, place near Iraq survives their communal situation in island Kavaratti. Finally two ladies rises from the ashes like a phoenix and decides to bring up her illegitimate kid into this world and bring it up as pious and the best Muslim.
Director Bio : Born in 1979 in Kozhikode, Sandeep Pampally is a writer and director and has won various national and international accolades in this field. In 2014 awarded International GLOBAL VOICE award held at Muskoka, Canada for the best social cause movie 'LAADAM'. His brilliant works like LORRY GIRL and TOOBA were voted as the most popular by the viewers at Viewstar International Festival, Germany. These movies have been showcased at various film festivals held at London, Belgium and Japan. 'Lorry Girl ' written and directed by Pampally gained popularity for showcasing same day at 15 places internationally, in India and also in Kerala. He is well known as writer and director. He won 4 state awards for writings and nearly 27 national and international awards as director. He started career as an actor later turned as director.
