Synopsis : Change is a word very much on the lips of every one, yet how come few to none changes are experienced in our society? Another relevant question raised among our generation is, “what has become of the Naga moral sense?” Honesty, once a hallmark of Naga character has lost its relevance in the present context, and ones’ identity is easily sold for a bottle of liquor or petty cash during the much awaited elections. How have these social evils replaced the old values in a Christian state such as ours? In this film it the makers takes up an initiative to address these questions through the visual arts. Nana-a tale of us, tells of community, love and forgiveness through the story of a family living in rural Nagaland. The film begins at the juncture of the impending State elections and quietly leads us through events that affect its character to make certain life decisions.
Director Bio : TiakumzükAo is self-taught in the field of theatre and filmmaking with only his love and passion for artistic expression as his guiding light. He has written and directed several plays and a number of short films and videos mostly based on social issues. He heads Dreamz Unlimited, a Theatre & Film Production House based in Dimapur, Nagaland, whose forte is comedy and satire. As most of his work reflects, Tiakumzük is inspired and motivated by a need for effecting change in society through the Arts.
