Synopsis : In his episodic, poetic film essay, Alexander Kluge deals with the phenomenon of "time"; and reflects on cinema in socio-critical reality. The game sequences are sketchy and deal, among other things, with a woman who surrenders to a German soldier in order to save the treasures of Polish film history; or with a director who goes blind during a shoot but still doesn't want to give up because his head is still full of images. It's not so much about the fates of individuals - Kluge reflects the fate of the entire human race in these stories.
