Synopsis : Agnishwar is a doctor who never hesitates to speak out the truth. A towering personality and honest, is deeply humane, a man of principles, spends his entire life treating poor people. The plot revolves around a patriotic doctor who lends moral backbone to the broken society of Bengal. Upon his death, he makes a wish to be born in the same country again.
Director Bio : Born on June 18, 1919, in Katihar in Bihar, Aurobindo Mukherjee left medical education midway to embrace the world of films, and his very first directorial effort “Kichukkhon” in 1959 fetched him a nomination for the president’s award. In a career spanning four decades, Mukherjee directed 26 full length films, three tele-films and one television serial, churning out family entertainers of refined tastes, which excellently portrayed middle class sensibilities and left an evergreen appeal among cinegoers of all generations. His film “Ahban” got screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 1961.
