Synopsis : An ex-convict gets a job as a taxi driver to change his girlfriend's prejudiced father's view of him, and becomes embroiled with a criminal gang in the process.

Director Bio : Guru Dutt (born Vasanth Kumar Shivashankar Padukone) was an Indian film director, producer and actor. He is most famous for making lyrical and artistic films within the context of popular Hindi cinema of the 1950s, and expanding its commercial conventions, starting with his 1957 film, Pyaasa.
