Synopsis : The documentary film “HOUSEFULL” has two simultaneous story. One is about the current state of single screen cinema halls in West Bengal where 460 cinema halls had been closed in last 30 years that counts over 15 cinema halls per year and the second story is about a man from a small village in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal who wanted to open a new cinema hall despite knowing the current situation. The film describes his ambition and the determination to fulfil his dreams his dreams along with the views of his family members. Parallelly this film tells us about the views of several closed and successfully running single screen cinema hall owners from different districts of West Bengal to clearly understand the reason of deterioration based on different opinions. This film is a search for the reason why people are not coming to cinema halls specially single screen cinema halls of rural West Bengal which are the most affected among all in the current scenario . The film also finds why a man from a remote village of West Bengal dreams about making a cinema hall and fulfils it .
