Synopsis : Nandu, a black tribal boy of 13, joins school, where the upper caste students study too. The flowers, flies, birds and other objects of Nature were his mates. The little children at the school were not bothered about the caste, creed and colour but the grown ups erected the wall of racial segregation in them.
Director Bio : DEEPESH T BORN ON 20TH MAY 1977 IN KANNUR DISTRICT,KERALA ,COMPLETED HIS GRADUATION IN FINE ARTS AT MYSORE UNIVERSITY. IN 2010 HE DIRECTED HIS FIRST SHORT FILM TITLED 'TYPEWRITER' WHICH WON LOTS OF STATE AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL AWARDS. HIS FIRST FEATURE FILM TITLED 'PITHAVUM PUTHRANUM'(MALAYALAM) COMPLETED ON 2012 WAS BANNED BY CENTRAL BUREAU OF FILM CERTIFICATION. HIS SECOND FEATURE FILM 'ANKURAM'(MALAYALAM) WON KERALA STATE FILM AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN FILM,BEST CHILD ARTIST AND BEST DIRECTOR IN 2015.HIS THIRD FILM 'SWANAM' ALSO WON KERALA STATE FILM AWARD FOR BEST CHILDREN FILM ,BEST CHILD ARTIST AND BEST DIRECTOR IN 2017.SWANAM SCREENED IN BANGALORE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL AND KOLKATTA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
