Synopsis : In rural Bengal there’s a community whose ancestral profession is to retrieve items lost by others from the bottom of ponds, rivers, etc. They are called “Duburi” (diver). In this saga, we experience the journey of duburi Sanatan when he comes to the village Golapdanga, to retrieve a missing earring of a widow Nilu. As Nilu collapses on her mental apocalypse and her deprived desires, Sanatan struggles for his breath and tries to survive this apparent surreal mental dystopia.
Director Bio : A freelance writer and musician by profession, Krishnendu Dutta had been actively involved in the art of film making since 2010. During this period, he has been part of 2 feature films and 4 short films of his own, many of which have been critically appreciated both nationally and internationally. He is 31 years old and currently lives in Kolkata with his family.
