Director Bio : Julian Radlmaier, b. 1984, is a German-French filmmaker living in Berlin. He studied Directing at the dffb, worked as a personal assistant to Werner Schroeter and has translated and edited various film-theoretical writings of the French philosopher Jacques Rancière. His first short film, A Ghost in Europe, was awarded the prize of German film critics in 2013. His next film, A Proletarian Winter's Tale (2014), has been screened worldwide at prestigious festivals such as Rotterdam or the Viennale and has won awards in Mexico ( FICUNAM ) and Brazil (Olhar de Cinema). Self-criticism of a bourgeois dog is his graduation film and celebrated at the Berlinale premiere.
