Synopsis : Shot through the eyes of Felipe (35), a tortured film director who tries in vain to create an authentic portrayal of love that his grandfather could so easily capture in his amateur films of decades prior, his lens follows two actors Edel (30) and May (30) who play the characters Alejandro and Rita, two strangers with two different motives looking for the same girl: Laura. Their search meanders through a chaotic Havana that gets them simultaneously nowhere and entangled. Likewise, Felipe’s film meanders from scene to scene lacking a coherent thread and conclusion and he is left unsatisfied; he just isn’t capable of the same compassion in his takes as his grandfather. This is when he realizes that unlike himself, his grandfather had had the capacity for love. With his new-found awareness, he sets his characters, Alejandro and Rita, free from their hopeless search.
