Synopsis : A boy with a special talent discovers that he may never grow up. Those with power are devouring dreams so everyone else is destined to serve. Can he break the rules and free the people or will they still blindly follow?
Director Bio : Born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1971, Fish Wang is a graduate of Arts & Craft Department of Fu-Hsin Trade and Arts School. He has been involved in animation and comics for more than 20 years, working in an animation company as a layout composer and art designer. In 2006, Fish Wang produced an animated music video for the song “THE MAN WHO MAKES WORDS” from the Taiwanese singer Lei Guang-xia. This video led to his nomination as the Best Music Video Director in Taiwan’s Golden Music Awards. The same music video was also selected by international anime festivals in Japan and Italy. In 2007, he produced segments of animation for the Taiwanese movie “ORZ BOYZ”. The dark, special style of his work has been lauded as “full of imagination”. Fish Wang is keen on creating. While the world he depicts is magical and unique, his diverse works include comics, picture books for adults, and short novels. He is also a fanatical collector of toys and comic books. For years, he has been committed to the creation and promotion of Taiwan Comix, an independent compilation of comic works in Taiwan. He was also invited to help publishing houses plan for the publication of “Graphic Fiction”, a compilation of homegrown comics in Taiwan. A year ago, Fish Wang quit working for the animation company and became a freelance comic artist, fully dedicated to his creation. With funds raised through a capital-collecting platform, his latest work Night Incident is to be published in 2015. His short novel Electronic Appliance Street is also to be adapted into a TV drama.
