Synopsis : This story is about a child named Chandan. Who lives in slum. One day, he find a pair of torn sandal. After thinking, he brings that sandal and hides it in a corner at home. Next day he ask cobbler about the charge to stitch the sandal and got to know that it will take 10 rupees. He request his mother to give money but mother denies it citing the reasons of household expenses. All the time, he was thinking to arrange the money so that the sandal are stitched. When he didn’t get any other idea, he pretend to be sick with headache and cough. Mother while leaving for work gives him 10 rupees to get medicine with the help of his friend. He uses the money for stitching of sandal and became happy to wear it. Till now, he was using old torn slipper. When mother comes back in evening, she ask about his health and also tells him that next day is the birthday of his friend vishal. Chandan was very happy that he will visit his friend on his birthday with sandals in his feet. None of his friends has sandal. Chandan ask some money to buy gift for vishal but looking at face of his mother he senses that she don’t have money. Next day, Chandan gifts his sandal to vishal on his birthday.
Director Bio : I Govind Mishra, A Writer and Director, started writing at the age of 16 for a Reputed Nation Level Magazine. I moved to Mumbai to explore the World of Creativity and started the carrier as a Writer Director in Bollywood. I have written a Future Film and about a Dozen Short Films which were directed by me. Apart from these, I have directed many short films written by others. My upcoming feature film I AM NOT BLIND
