Synopsis : From an old manuscript, a tale of a failed promise, a song of melancholy and an ode to time. An evening during the onset of the month of spring, while trying to recollect a long lost song, someone gets reminiscence of a love tale that blossomed years back in what now remains as ruins of an old, low-income housing colony. The film is an attempt to formalize the aesthetics of Indian miniature painting and classical Hindustani (Indian) music by unfolding an arrangement of emotions and temporalities.
Director Bio : Shashank Walia is a cinematography alumnus of Film and Television Institute of India (2011) and a post-graduate degree holder in Mass Communication from AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia (2008). His cinematography credit includes international documentary projects for NHK Japan, Wishing Step Pictures Canada and NYFA. He was also recently commissioned for an essay film titled ‘Somewhere Nowhere’ by Public Service Broadcasting Trust, India, which was an official selection at the 12th IDSFFK in the short documentary section.
