Synopsis : Phoolmuni is a story based on the atrocities faced by women. Phoolmuni's husband is an alcoholic, who abuses her almost everyday. One day, due to excessive drinking, her husband passes away. The society started looking at her like the reason for his death. Phoolmuni gets tired of this constant humiliation and decides to leave the village for the city. But little does she know what the city has in store for her.
Director Bio : Mr. DASRATH HANSDAH needs no introduction in the Santhali film industry. He has not only acted in 32 movies but also produced and directed 5 movies. He almost single handedly laid the foundation stone of the Santhali film industry in Jharkhand. He has been honoured with numerous awards by the Government of Jharkhand, for language development as well as for formation of Santhali Film industry.
