Synopsis : Ananta Das is a normal middle class man like any other common man. Everyday he avails the 8:08 A.M Bongaon Local to Kolkata to attain his office and throughout his journey some known and unknown common people are his companions. He has seen many incidents, which created a deep impression in his life. One such incident was the murder of a brother who protested against a group of drunkards who were teasing his elder sister ("Rajiv murder case in Barasat"). Preliminarily he remained silent against all these incidents. But on one day, his protesting nature, inside him, burst out. He started protesting against each and every wrong deed, irrespective of the level of crime. As a result he stands out as a protesting person in front of other common people. He turns out to be the target of the leaders of the society.

Director Bio : Debaditya Bandyopadhyay is a filmmaker who majorly directs Bengali films. His films like Naxal, 8:08 Er Bongo Local, "2 Taka" and "8848" has been well accepted and acknowledged by the audience. His major works include films like Naxal (film) starring Mithun Chakraborty and Dhritiman Chatterjee in leading roles. This film is in the context of the communist uprising in Bengal. Another film titled "8:08 Er Bongo Local" staring Tapas Pal, Raghubir Yadav, Manoj Mitra and Swastika Mukherjee. This revolves around the life of a middle-class man and his journey of traveling a local train daily. His short film "2 Taka" brought back Tapas Pal to the screen and to the audience after a long time. His latest work, based on an Everest expedition, is titled "8848". This film has cast real mountaineers along with actress Chandrayee Ghosh. It is influenced by the life story of Sunita Hazra, though it is not her biopic.
