Synopsis : Rajeeb is a contemporary rock superstar of Bangladesh. He is a style icon and is extremely talented. His personal life is not structured at all. About two years back, his wife left him with their daughter Babui. He has many girlfriends who come and go in his life. Tania who works for a popular television media as a program producer is quite bold and firmly stands her ground all the time. A series of events carry out as the shooting of “Ajob Karkhana” (Song of the Soul) starts. Rajeeb's personality changes gradually. With the program picking up popularity, Rajeeb's growing vanity and overconfidence fuel a cycle of decay to his long cherished empire. The decay fall on his popularity, his soul and his creation. At one point he can't compose any music at all. Folk music penetrates through his empire of rock music every time. A question haunts him. Who is the real artist? Is it him or the remote underprivileged folk musicians?
Director Bio : Shabnam Ferdousi is a national award-winning filmmaker and film-activist in Bangladesh. She has made more than 30 documentary films. Shabnnam is the Executive Producer of more than 70 documentary films for Ekattor TV, where she works as the Head of the Documentary Division. Awards won by Shabnam Ferdousi include: Bangladesh National Award for Best Documentary Film 2016 (2018), Best Documentary Film in the 16th Dhaka International Film Festival (2017), Best Short Award in the 15th Rainbow International Film Festival, London (2014), Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Moviyana Film Society Award (2013), Mahila Parishad Award (2007) - Awards that recognize women contributing at the top of their fields. “Ajob Karkhana” (Song of the Soul) is Ferdousi's first Fiction Feature Directorial debut from her own story and screenplay.
