Synopsis : Uma, a young dance teacher living abroad, daughter of an almost fragmented joint family of a countryside cherishes her Indian ancestral tradition and following the tradition she returns to her ancestral home with her mother for her marriage. Although the ancestral home is rich in culture, it's brick layers have many stories written on them. There are hidden currents and curses which touch Uma and traumatises her. Can she ultimately get over the depression that engulfs her and move on?
Director Bio : Sharmistha Mitra Chakraborty won the Best Director Award at the 2020 Global India International Film Festival, Mumbai. She is experienced in the whole film making process from pre-production to final edit and release. She has worked as a freelance script-writer and subtitles developer of many short films and feature film. Sharmistha has also worked as an assistant director and director of a few independent projects, music video, short films and institutional short film projects. She is a film critic and book reviewer of a newspaper and has nine years of working experience as a librarian of a business school in Kolkata. She is also a school teacher of a secondary level school.
