Synopsis : This is a story about a car pool driver Harinath Patra who works for the primary section of a convent school. This driver has an instinctive quality of story-telling. Harinath, being a fan of fairytales aespecially Harry Potter series, often shows magic on the streets of Kolkata. The money that Harinath earns from his street shows is spent to feed the children from his neighbourhood slum. On the other hand there is Titli, a 10 year old who avails Harinath's car. Titli's mother is very overprotective about her since she is a very late child. Titli's mother's concern for her daughter often turns out to be oppressive for the child, whereas Titli's father seems to be quite disinterested in family matters. Titli has an elder sister Mohor, 14 years older than her, who works in a corporate education institute. Titli and Harinath share a rare kind of friendship; full of magic and stories of a wonderland. Mohor while inspecting her sister's recent interest in wizardry gets to meet Harinath. These two contrasting individuals fall in love with each other and with “Harry Potter” at the same time and the story moves on in a world of adventure and magic.
Director Bio : Rajdeep Ghosh is known as an actor and associate director. He worked on various national and international projects some of which won awards and accolades and a National Award in India. He has also directed several films for television. “Kolkatar Harry” is his debut feature film.
