Synopsis : 1972 Kolkata is in chaos with the insurgency of Naxals who seek an equal society. Sarat, a seven year old boy is waiting for his father Gokul to return home for Durga Puja shopping. The joyous day enfolds as Sarat hops about the neighbourhood. The clock strikes 5 but Sarat's father does not return as promised. He repeatedly asks his mother “Baba still hasn't come?”as the radio announces violence on the streets. Sarat however is still excited and mistakes the sounds for festival crackers. Gokul returns frenzied and soon the hunt for Sarat begins who is nowhere to be found. The young couple weathers the deserted streets to find Sarat's dead body. Why did he not return?
