Synopsis : Kabir Basu - a writer in his late 40s and his wife Sumita are a happy, cultured and busy couple living in the heart of Kolkata. Like everyone else, they are caught in the claustrophobia of the Covid pandemic and the consequent lockdowns. The film travels back and forth in time as they try to navigate through these hard times and search for fresh air and sanity. The film is an exploration of their fears, realisations and going back to nature.
Director Bio : Goutam Ghose, one of India's critically praised film director, actor, writer, cinematographer hails from Calcutta, West Bengal and mostly works for the Bengali film industry. He is known for his films like “Paar”, “Dekha” , ”Dakhal”, “Moner Manush”. He made his acting debut from the film “Grihajuddha” in 1982 and later acted in films like “Gayak” in 1987, “Baishe Srabon” in 2011, “Ekla Akash” in 2012 and “Chotushkone” in 2014. His films were awarded Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Screenplay awards at the National Film Awards ceremony. He has also received an award at Oberhausen Film Festival for his documentary film Hungry Autumn. His film “Dakhal” won The Grand Jury Prize at the 11th International Human Rights Film Festival as well as a Golden Lotus Award for best film. His film “Beyond the Himalayas” won Filmfare Award in 1996.
