Synopsis : The film is set beside the bank of the Brahmaputra that is the lifeline of many tribes in the state of Assam. It is about a lower primary Mishing Language school where the main struggle of the teachers is to keep the school alive as it has only one student, named Boomba. But a time comes when things do not go as expected and while the school reaches the verge of collapse, Boomba with his upright wisdom goes on to save his school, making all of them realize what education can do to a society.
Director Bio : Biswajeet Bora is an Indian filmmaker, producer, editor and writer and one of the most renowned filmmakers from North-East India, now based in Mumbai. He worked with Internationally acclaimed filmmaker Jahnu Barua for 7 years as an Assistant Director before making his first Hindi film titled “Aisa Yeh Jahaan” which was India's first carbon neutral film. Later he forayed into commercial cinema in Assam with “Bahniman”, which remains one of the biggest hits in Assam till date. His film “Phehujali”, got critical acclaim and recognition in various International Film Festivals. He won the Best Director Award “Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Trophy” for the film “God on the Balcony” at the 26th Kolkata International Film Festival. Biswajeet Bora is now working on an epic film named “Sati Sadhani” based on the life and sacrifice of the famous Sootia queen.
