Domingo is adamant that he will never cede his territory, even if it requires using force. Domingo and The Mist is a sombre, introspective movie that delves beneath the skin of its main character as it develops in tones of melancholy and regret. Every scene that Carlos Arena is in gives Domingo a worn-out, tenacious determination. He seems to be unable to deviate from his chosen course or give up what it means to him. There is a spark in their interactions, and Sylvia Sossa is a fun sparring partner as the sceptic daughter who appears to know him better than he knows himself.
