Synopsis : In one of the oldest medinas in Morocco, Halim and Mina run a traditional caftan shop. They employ Youssef in an effort to comply with the strict orders of their demanding clients. In order to learn the embroidery and tailoring crafts from Halim, the gifted apprentice displays the utmost dedication. Mina gradually becomes aware of the extent to which the young man's presence affects

Director Bio : Maryam Touzani (born September 17, 1980) is a Moroccan actress and filmmaker. She is best known for being the director of the critically acclaimed films The Blue Caftan, which was submitted by Morocco for the 95th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film Adam (2019), which was submitted by Morocco for the 92nd Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film. Together with her husband, the filmmaker Nabil Ayouch, she co-wrote the movie Razzi(2017). She also portrayed the movie's protagonist, "Salima." Then, Touzani (2019) helmed Adam, her most highly regarded feature picture to date. The movie was chosen for the Un Certain Regard category at the Cannes Film Festival. It was chosen as Morocco's submission for the 92nd Academy Awards' Best International Feature Film category, however, it did not receive a nomination. She joined the Academy of Oscars that year as well.
