In strange circumstances, Satyapriya Acharya meets and marries Ranjana after finding employment in Bhawanigarh. His family suffers greatly as a result, especially his grandfather who raised him. Ranjana cannot be welcomed into the household due to the teacher clan of the Acharyas' strict religious beliefs.
