Synopsis : A young filmmaker gets an assignment to shoot a film and finds himself in an unfamiliar environment - an aul (kazakh village). A young man from the city is immersed in a completely different world. The life of the small village is full of intrigues, conflicts and dramas, to which the protagonist becomes a participant. Step by step he begins to understand and accept everything that is happening. The film ends with a celebration - the circumcision of a small child. This ancient Kazakh ritual brings people together again. Grievances and arguments are forgotten. The joy of being returns to people's souls. The film is a statement that if money is evil, and it is ineradicable, then kindness lives in any person soul , and it is also ineradicable.

Director Bio : Serik Sekenovich APRYMOV, Kazakh film director. Honored cultural figure of Kazakhstan (1998). Winner of the Independent Award "Tarlan" (2000). Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR (1988). Born on October 28, 1960 in the village of Aksuat, Aksuat district of Semipalatinsk region. Graduated from the department of directing at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in 1989. After finishing school he continued his studies at Alma-Ata industrial college, then, after serving in the Soviet army, he came to the studio "Kazakhfilm" named after Sh. Aimanov, where he worked as an assistant director. After graduating from VGIK he worked as an assistant director at the BBC in London.
