Synopsis : Based on the famous Greek tragedy by Euripedes, which was written as early as 415 BC, the film documents how the Athenians exploited the people of Troy, post-Trojan War. Women were sexually exploited daily, men and children are forced into being slaves or they are killed ruthlessly or put through severe torture. It reminds us of a post war state still now, such is the nature of the oppressors, dictators, since the Early Age of Human Civilization. When Hecuba’s daughter Cassandra is chosen as a sleeping partner for the Greek king, she hid as she had taken an oath to remain a virgin throughout her life. But once she was found, she describes her gruesome treatment by the Athenians. The barbaric gruesome events in Troy make us question ourselves as humans.
