Synopsis : An unusual road movie of men in the sea, or a ‘chamber-film’ that occurs in a boat? Hawa is a genre-defying film tale of love, libido, revenge, and human survival in the pristine waters of Bay of Bengal. The film depicts the journey of an all-men team on a seafaring boat, eventually where the mystery of life and relationships gets re-interpreted. The usual fishing mission of a group of seasoned boatmen of Cox’s Bazar finds an unheard-of catch in the deep of the sea. The ‘caught’—a beautiful but rebellious young girl enters the world of men on the boat. She turns to be the boat's driver, and eventually…everything turns upside down. Director Bio : Mejbaur Rahman Sumon started his work in 2010 as a Television Drama Director after finishing his study in Fine Arts from Dhaka University. After some time, he started directing Television Commercials. Recently his debut film “Hawa” has been released nationally and globally. Since he started working and established himself as a director with artistic andcontemporary aesthetics. He has received numerous awards and nominations by most of the prestigious awards giving ceremonies of Bangladesh.
