Synopsis : The young therapist Oana Pfifer gradually gets entangled in the web of the questionnaire she gives her client. Oana's brother Mihai is entangled in a tale that is much more than he can handle while fretting about his birthday. Oana's husband, Septimiu, is worried about his health and he listens hazily to a strange story about a colleague who got swept up in it years ago. Detective Narcis Patranescu of organized crime handles a disturbing dark tale while questioning a young woman at a funeral.

Director Bio : Born in Bucharest in 1967, Cristi Puiu first gained recognition for his writing and directing skills with his first feature film, Marfa si banii / Stuff and Dough (2001). In 2005, he won the Cannes Un Certain Regard award for Dommului Lazarescu / The Death of Mr. Lazarescu, which was screened in the Eastern Promises retrospective at San Sebastian in 2014. He made a comeback to Un Certain Regard in 2010 with Aurora, in which he also starred, and he opened the official Cannes competition with Sieranavada in 2016, which subsequently screened in Perlak, San Sebastian. He took home the Best Director Award in the Berlin Festival's Encounters category in 2020 with Malmkrog.
