Synopsis : Murshid Kuli Khan established a strong seat of Nawabs at Murshidabad, and which ended with the fall of Siraj ud Doula at Palashi in 1757. The unfortunate defeat at the Battle of Plassey brought the miseries not only for the province but gradually for the whole country. The mighty British power uprooted the Mughols and made India their colony.
