Synopsis : Necessity and inevitability give courage to a man to face whatever danger comes in his way. It becomes indispensable in leading one’s life. The mind does not bother about right or wrong, but nods to the need of the moment. Timma, who lives in the dense forest of the Western Ghats, is concerned about funding his son’s education and is also desperate to rebuild his dilapidated hut. When he is unable to raise money from known resources, he accepts the job of searching for king cobra, its eggs and its nest, in the forest at the behest of Snake expert Vijaykumar. His confusion, anxiety and struggles gradually lead him to where he is in the movie “Timmana Mottegalu”.
Director Bio : Rakshita J C (Screen Name – Rakshit Tirthahalli, was a Network Engineer by profession. His interest and passion for writing & cinema drove him to write a story about encroachment of forest. His directorial debut was a Kannada feature film titled HOMBANNA in 2017, which won some awards, both in Indian and International film festivals. He then wrote a book on the Western Ghats on environmental changes, titled KAADINA NENTARU, which was a compilation of stories. His next directorial ventures are two Kannada feature films titled ENTHA KATHE MARAYA & TIMMANA MOTTEGALU, based on two stories from his book KAADINA NENTARU.
