Synopsis : Rosario lives outside a village in La Mancha. She farms her salt lake and lives with her handicapped son and her goat. But the corrupt local government sells the village and its lands for industrial farming, and the younger people in the village submit to the expulsion. Rosario and her friends will show them what it is to make a stand.
Director Bio : Liz Lobato is an actress, director and producer, born in Madrid. She graduated in Philosophy at Paris IV Sorbonne. She has a Master's degree in screenwriting at Royal Holloway University of London and is pursuing a PhD in cinema at UCLM. She has been working as an actress for 30 years and as a director for 18. She directed four fiction shorts with many international awards (San Diego Latino, Mestre Venezia...) and is directing a documentary series. Her first feature film, Land of Our Mothers - was selected for the official Zonazine section of the 2023 Malaga Film Festival, and won the Audience Award, the Award for Best Actor and Best Film awarded by film schools.
