Synopsis : Renato, Abel & Gabriela are a family torn apart by their emotions. For them, the longing for happiness and breaking free from their harsh realities seems punishable. Their individual choices will take its toll on the lives of others, bringing forth the fragile ties that bind them.
Director Bio : Graduated in Cinematography from the Universidad de las Californias Internacional. In 2015 he directed his short “The Other Side,” produced by IMCINE, and in 2018, the short “By end of night” premiered at the Huesca FF and the Havana. "Soy lo que Nunca Fui" (Broken Borders) is his feature film debut. It received the support of FOCINE, a grant awarded by the Mexican Film Institute and was part of the 2020 Sundance Collab workshop for Directing a first feature.
