Synopsis : At a typical breakfast table with a father and daughter, a box-shaped device sits in the middle. On the screen in front, the face of a woman is displayed. This woman, Mikako, who passed away a year ago, speaks to her daughter Ami and her husband from within the box, as if she were still there. Every day, Ami carries the box with her mother's image to school. Although the school allows it, her classmates are not so accepting. One student mocks her by saying, "It smells like a corpse," and Ami is devastated.
Director Bio : Born in December 1989 in Fukushima Prefecture, Yasunari Konno began creating independent films while studying at Waseda University, receiving numerous film awards. After studying under directors Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Nobuhiro Suwa in the Graduate School of Film and New Media at Tokyo University of the Arts, he has worked on theatrical releases and DVD projects across a wide range of genres, including horror and comedy.
