Synopsis : To escape a cold,unhappy marriage Archie starts a magic real wanderlust & meets a dead Marxist with his confusions,a lady Macbeth with insatiable appetite for killing neo-rich lovers,a dead sister waiting eternally & meets a young man madly in love for his insane,runaway wife.All these extreme experiences ,emotions were absent in his life. At last enlightened Archie is seen in his bed embracing his lonely wife, tears rolling down her cheeks amidst falling rain & Indian flute. A new journey begins.
Director Bio : Born in a in a Bengali middle-class, educated & cultured family got his post graduate diploma in film making specializing in Editing from Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute. Currently the FACULTY OF DIRECTION in the West Bengal govt. film Institute in Kolkata. The journey from his birth that started in Naihati to the workspace of Kolkata, connected him with different Art forms like literature, drama, painting, photography. He assisted various directors before attending Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute. His diploma film from SRFTI, 'KHOJ', was the first ever student film from India to participate in CINEFOUNDATION in CANNES 2002. His short films have been screened in different Indian film festivals. FOREST MEDICINE, a documentary for EUROPEAN UNION AND WHO, directed by him, was the inaugural film for River to River Florence International Film Fest, 2002. His first film was SAGA OF A NOBODY & the current film, THE BROKEN MIRROR, is his 2nd feature film as a DIRECTOR/PRODUCER/EDITOR & SCREEN PLAY WRITER.
