Synopsis : 'Mon Matal' is a restrained insurrection to sustain the patients of worlds oldest disease 'loss of control in addiction ' to the mainstream of society. 'Mon Matal' is a story of relationships, a story of survivors. Story of people who fought and won against the pernicious disease known as ' Loss of control in addiction.' In their struggle to achieve wellness they helped each other and by doing so eventually helped themselves. 'Mon Matal' emphasises the necessity of practicing togetherness which is somehow missing now a days. The movie suggests that with proper care and guidance from our loved ones, we can defeat any odds in our life. Our society detests addicts. 'Mon Matal' tries to point out and solve this misconception. It affirms the fact that if society treat these people with care and compassion, a lot of lives can be saved.
Director Bio : Dipak Bandopadhyay is a film and television director working in the Kolkata Film Industry for more than fifteen years. He has successfully completed many commercial films, short films, promotional videos for many popular brands like Tata, Khaitan Fans, Star Jalsa TV and Colors Bangla TV. He has also worked as a chief assistant director in popular bengali films like Madly Bangali, Babar Naam Gandhiji, Ek Cup Cha, Tor Naam and many more. He made his debut as director with the hindi feature A Slice of Life. Mon Matal is his second movie as a director.
Director Bio : Priyo Chattopadhyay is a renowened lyrisist in West Bengal movie and television industry. His songs in films like Sathihara, Challenge, Le Chakka gained him a lot of popularity among Bengali audience. In his career he has written songs for more than a hundred and fifty films and two hundred music albums. He has also written title tracks for a lot of popular bengali television shows. Mon Matal is his first endeavour as a director.
