Synopsis : This crowd funded endeavour, celebrating 150 years of Bhanusingha's genesis, is a fictional story based on the life of Nobel laureate Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore, concentrating on two years of his adolescence life. During this time, Rabi, as he was fondly called, wrote a series of poems in self-learnt Brajabuli language which chronicle the romance between Radha and Krishna, a traditional theme of Indian poetry, mainly the ‘Bhaishnava poets’ of the fifteenth century, under the pseudonym Bhanu. The film looks at the mind and works of young Rabindranath with immense potential and traces his journey in finding his self. The film aspires to paint a fascinating portrait of Tagore when he was a boy of fifteen, delving into his inner world having its origin in his early relationship with people and nature that were later elaborated in the mature artist’s sensibility and creative expression.
