Synopsis : Nina, a young sex worker, finds herself stranded after a job performing at a men’s hunting retreat. Initially an outsider, she gradually bonds with the hunters, feeling a sense of belonging within their rugged male camaraderie. However, her newfound place in this isolated cabin is disrupted by the arrival of an enigmatic outsider, unsettling the delicate balance Nina has grown to cherish. As tensions rise, her connection to the group—and her sense of belonging—are put to the test.
Director Bio : Annick Blanc is a Canadian film director and producer known for her innovative storytelling and impactful visuals. She co-founded the Midi La Nuit film studio with Maria Gracia Turgeon and has directed three short films and produced ten, which have screened at prominent festivals including Palm Springs, Créteil, and Vienna Independent. Blanc earned Canadian Screen Award nominations for Best Live Action Short Drama, first as producer of Plain and Simple (2018) and then as director of The Colour of Your Lips (2019). Her feature directorial debut, Hunting Daze (Jour de chasse), premiered in 2024, marking a new chapter in her career.
