Synopsis : “Lacchi,” marginalized by her family, endured hardship and marital abuse while striving to secure a brighter future for her daughter, Sita. Determined to shape Sita's destiny despite societal challenges, Lacchi remained resolute. Tragedy struck when Sita vanished unexpectedly, leaving Lacchi shattered. Amid her anguish, a police investigation sought answers to pressing questions: * Was poverty a catalyst? * Were religious beliefs a factor? * Did Lacchi's alleged immorality play a role? * Did Sita's father harbor culpability? The investigation delved deep into these aspects, trying to uncover the truth behind Sita’s disappearance.
Director Bio : I, Krishnegowda, was actively involved in cultural activities during my student days, which brought me to Kannada theatre, TV serials, and films as an actor, producer, and director. Over the years, I have produced and acted in more than 15 films and served as a jury member for BIFFeS and the Karnataka State Film Awards committee. My film "Pinki Elli – Where is Pinki" garnered global attention and won many prestigious national and international awards. Another film, "Naanu Kusuma – I am Kusuma," which I produced and directed, also received widespread acclaim and numerous prestigious accolades. Now, I am returning with another impactful film, "Lacchi," which addresses the pressing issues of domestic violence against women and missing children in India.
