Synopsis : Set against the backdrop of post-May '68 France, Pierre, a widowed father in his 50s, raises his two sons on his own. When the younger son, Louis, leaves for the Sorbonne, the older son, Fus, grows more distant and secretive. Fascinated by violence, Fus becomes involved with far-right extremist groups, clashing with his father’s beliefs and straining their relationship.
Director Bio : Delphine and Muriel Coulin are French sisters born in 1972 in Hennebont, France, who work together as filmmakers. Muriel started her career as a cinematographer and camera assistant in the 1990s. Delphine is also a novelist. The sisters began making films together in 1997 with their short film Il faut imaginer Sisyphe heureux, inspired by Albert Camus' the Myth of Sisyphus. They made their first feature film debut in 2011 titled 17 Girls, which was inspired by a real story about a group of American teenage girls who chose to get pregnant together. The film was shown at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. In 2015, they announced their second film, The Stopover, starring actress/singer Soko, which premiered at Cannes in 2016 and won the Best Screenplay from the Un Certain Regard jury.
