Synopsis : In the late 1970s, Indian conservationist Satish Bhaskar embarked on a pioneering journey along India’s coastlines and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, discovering critical nesting sites for endangered sea turtles. Known as "Mr. Sea Turtle," Bhaskar’s solitary expeditions unveiled mysteries about these creatures, including the first evidence of leatherback turtles in India. After a devastating 2004 tsunami wiped out many beaches, he confronted the urgent question of sea turtles' survival without nesting grounds. In his last daring journey, Bhaskar faced a transformed landscape. Yet, years later, researchers like Adhith Swaminathan found hope as the turtles gradually returned to reformed beaches.
