Synopsis : A tropical garden becomes the stage for the encounter of two solitudes that accompany each other for a while: that of an upper-class woman whose early onset dementia is taking away everything she has been, and that of her caregiver, a pregnant and lonely immigrant, isolated from the world by a terrible secret.
Director Bio : Ana Endara holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Florida State University and studied Film Directing at the International Film and Television School in Cuba (EICTV). She works as a videographer at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. She has directed four feature-length documentaries in which she shares different perspectives on Panamanian society and explores the sense of belonging. "Querido Trópico" marks her debut in fiction filmmaking.
