Synopsis : Mi Xun finally returns to his hometown after learning of his father's accidental death. Facing family and friends again, he feels alienated and lost. Filled with remorse and guilt, he is haunted by nightmares. Memories condense, shift and reconstruct themselves continuously in his mind. The past, sealed in dust, slowly reveals itself, and hidden feelings emerge. As dreams and hallucinations invade Mi Xun's real life, he decides to make a film about them. In this fictional world, he reunites with his father; he gives his father proper farewell and redeems himself.
Director Bio : Born in Shanxi in 1991, director LI Pu is now engaged in filmmaking in Beijing. LI’s works — such as A Journey of the Drifters, Belong to the Mountain, Wudaokou and It Can Be Yesterday — were selected for the 2022 Beijing International Film Festival, the 2017 Pingyao International Film Festival, China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, the 7th Silk Road International Film Festival and the 2020 Venice Contemporary Art Exhibition. They have also won awards at numerous domestic and foreign film festivals. LI’s projects have been shortlisted for the 2021 CFDG Young Director Support Program, Jackie Chan Project A for Films in 2022, and China Film Association’s Golden Rooster New Power in 2023.
