Synopsis : This documentary film is a journey of Artists’ Groups (Painters & Sculptors) from beginning of British Raj to the present day in India, particularly in Bengal. It documents all the major groups in Bengal along the historical time line from the 1st Artists’ Group in India set by the British and some enlightened Bengalis. The film focuses on the background of formation of these groups, their struggle & success. Thus the film draws a linear sketch of history of art movement in Bengal.
